Paul has practiced in Massachusetts since 2012 and leads both the immigration and criminal defense practices. A former Assistant District Attorney with more than 100 trials, he now uses a prosecutor’s insight to defend clients in the District and Superior Courts, and he has vacated dozens of criminal convictions that put immigrant clients at risk of deportation. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Attorney Congote has more than a decade of experience and has represented hundreds of families in complex immigration matters, from removal defense and custody hearings to federal actions against the Department of Homeland Security. He previously led the immigration department at a prominent Greater Boston firm, holds a J.D. from Suffolk University, is admitted in Massachusetts and New York, and is an active AILA member.
